You are my Happy Place

Hi there Creatives!
I had a creative play date with my Go Press and Foil machine this weekend and created this double mixed media layout with the gorgeous Rose Avenue Collection from Kaiser Craft. Although it is an older collection, it is stil gorgeous.  I really enjoy foiling elements for projects, I should do it more often!

And soft pink and teal are always a firm favourite of mine. Just love this paper collection!

I chose the Suite papers as background and the Courtyard pink paper to layer with. And of course Little Birdie Flowers! To create definition and extra layers I stenciled with Anna Griffin's Embossing Paste and the Doily Stencil, also KaiserCraftI chose a custom chipboard title for Scrapbook Studio from Scrap Collections, and I got everything from the magnificent Scrapbook Studio in Jefferey's Bay! I splattered with Tinted Metallic Paint (Golden Plum) from Little Birdie Crafts and used the Prima Copper Glass Glitter.

The Go Press and Foil machine from Couture Creations is such a versatile  piece of equipment, every paper crafter should have one. My favourite is the Cut, Foil & Emboss dies that are available. I used the "Nesting Bracket Frames"  and Rose Gold Foil on this layout.

To foil only the one part of the chipboard title, I covered the top part of the title with a piece of Washi tape and the foiling came out perfectly only on the bottom part.

Another passion of mine is decorative metal dies. I'm addicted! This beautiful dainty Decorative Medallion Die from Heartfelt Creations just stole my heart! Remember to use waxpaper (from your kitchen) with the waxy side facing to the die when you cut with these dies. It will ensure that your die-cut comes off the die easily without tearing.

Here are a few close-ups of the layout.
